Early April Fishing Weather
We’re expecting the weather in Los Suenos during the month of April to be typically warm and sunny, which makes it the perfect time for fishing. Inshore water temperatures are averaging around 80°F, while offshore temperatures are slightly cooler at around 75°F. You can expect calm seas and light winds during April, creating ideal conditions for offshore fishing. On land, temperatures are hovering in the low to mid-80s, with plenty of sunshine and minimal rainfall. It's the perfect weather for a full day out on the ocean. April is an excellent time to fish, with comfortable weather on both land and sea.
Offshore Bites
Offshore fishing in April offers some of the best opportunities for catching some of the most sought-after game fish. The waters are abundant with a variety of species right now, including marlin, sailfish, tuna, and dorado. Black and blue marlin are abundant during this time, some weighing in at over 600 pounds. Sailfish are plentiful providing the opportunity for multiple hookups in a single day. We’re seeing great numbers of yellowfin tuna weighing in at up to 300 pounds. Always fun on the line, dorado are also showing great numbers. April is one of the best months for offshore fishing in Los Suenos and we’re gearing up for an outstanding month full of exciting catches.
Inshore Bites
If you’re looking to stay closer to land, inshore fishing is also proving fruitful with a wide variety of species to target. Roosterfish are plentiful right now. Known for their unbelievable speeds and striking appearance, April is the perfect time to cross these notoriously tough fighters off your bucket list. Snook, jacks, and snapper are also abundant inshore with some weighing in at over 20 pounds. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of other species as well, including grouper, mackerel, and bonitas. We’re seeing clear waters providing us with excellent visibility. April is already showing signs that the great fishing opportunities we’ve experienced in March will continue.
