Temporary FISHING PERMITS ARE NOT INCLUDED in the price of your charter boat rental and must be purchased separately. You may do so at the INCOPESCA fishing authority desk at the entrance to the Los Sueños charter dock at the Los Sueños marina.
All of our fishing charters are booked by the boat, as private charters. We do not combine groups of people in order to create a group fishing charter.
We offer Los Sueños inshore and offshore charter boat and ocean kayak fishing options. We do not offer river or beach fishing. We also do not offer fishing poles or other fishing gear as rentals.
Manuel Antonio national park is the only park in the Jaco/Los Suenos area that is closed on Mondays for routine park maintenance. Carara national park is open on Mondays.
Unless you have a hard-shell board case and simply must use your own board, we do not recommend flying with your surf boards. In addition to whatever fees your airline may charge you for an oversized piece of luggage, there is chance that your board may become damaged in transit. As a town internationally known as one of the best surfing destinations in the world, Jaco has a wide variety of surf board rental shops where you may rent surf boards in practically every length or design on an hourly, daily or weekly basis.
Our surfing lesson start times are based on tide charts. Without the momentum provided by the tides, it is very difficult to have enough energy behind the wave to stand up on your boards as you learn to surf if it is not timed properly. It is for this reason that surfing lessons are only available for up to two hours before, during, and for up to two hours after high tide for each day. When you book a surfing lesson with us, we will consult the tide chart for the date of your tour and assign your start time accordingly.
Sorry, but no. We do have motorcycles for rent to customers with a valid motorcycle license. However, our ATVs and UTVs are available for guided tours only. We do not offer ATVs or Rhinos for private rentals outside of the tours we offer.
Although we do our best to make as many of our ATV tours private as possible, the private ATV tour is only guaranteed on the Full Day Tour Del Rey. If you do not intend to book the full day tour and privacy is paramount, please contact us to see what we can arrange for you.
Since the majority of our ATV tours are private, the number of ATV passengers in your group cannot outnumber the drivers.
We offer both ATVs and UTVs, (Mules or Rhinos). Our ATVs are 4-wheeled, all-terrain machines with a bar seat and handlebars. ATVs can be used with up to 2 people: a driver and a passenger sitting front to back as you would ride on a motorcycle. Our UTVs are 4-wheeled, all-terrain vehicles that are similar to a small, open-air Jeep with a roll bar, steering wheel and 4 seats. UTVs may be used with up to 4 people sitting side-by-side, (two in the front, two in the back).
